Kamlaniye is a 'shamanistic performance', which aims at bringing oneself to the level of ecstasy by means of singing, dancing and hitting the tambourine, after which the soul of the shaman, supposedly, leaves the body temporarily and goes on an encounter with the spirits, in order to receive guidance from them or to struggle with them.
